Xavier Urpi founded Cypress Asset Management.

Previously, Xavier was Director of U.S. Fixed Income at Smith Barney Capital Management from 1989 – 1995, overseeing a portfolio in excess of $5 billion in assets.

From 1978 – 1989, Xavier was a Senior Portfolio Manager at Lehman Management Company (now Ark Asset Management Company) where he jointly developed the Lehman indices. He has utilized this experience in assisting clients identify and customize indices for their funds.

Xavier holds a BA in Mathematics from the Courant Institute of Mathematical Sciences at New York University and attended the Graduate School of Business Administration.
